ALL 14 have passed the SEE (the Nepalese central examination after grade 10), 2 of them are top of the school. These 3 girls with excellent results are currently fighting for admission to nurse training in Kathmandu. We keep our fingers crossed for them.

Thank you to all the sponsors who believe in our girls. Now that we are moving towards higher education for the first time, we are hoping for more sponsors – please spread the word ? and contact us at office@rootsforlife.info.

… as beneficial insects or pests are also part of the Farmers Field School. The women exchange their experiences, learn interesting facts about them and finally “experimental plants” with the insects in the “net” are also planted for study purposes. We are already very curious to see what can be observed here.

Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for making this form of learning possible for the women.

  • Great …

    Great …

.. what the women in Kunikhop have achieved in less than 2 years. The founding of a cooperative was followed by a long search for a suitable area and its purchase. With a lot of effort, the area was prepared, a greenhouse and a training hall were built, and sample fields with new vegetables were planted.

The women can be very proud of themselves.

Many thanks to Schoeck Family Foundation for the financial support of this project.

  • Suicide …

… is still the most common cause of death for Nepali women aged 15 to 49.

Faced with physical and physical violence, they often have no one they can trust to help them.

Now it has hit one of our girls in the village, at the age of 13 she did not know what to do.

We are shocked and grieve with the family. In any case, we will intensify our activities and do everything possible to avoid fates like this in the future.

We will not forget our girl.

    Great …

… the women in Kunikhop have implemented the first trainings on organic vegetable cultivation. For the first time, they were able to harvest enough vegetables for the whole family and more in their greenhouses. Not least the organic herbal fertiliser helped them to achieve this.

  • For the first time …

    For the first time …

Carola Gosch initiated a strategy day with all leading women of the cooperative and the entire team. Questions such as “what were our successes in 2022” and “what are our plans for 2023 and what do we need to achieve them” were discussed very intensively and then presented. Experiences were exchanged, insights gained, but also a lot of laughter and energy built up for the next steps.

We would like to thank all the supporters of the projects whose success we were able to celebrate here. Especially Fair Styria and Schöck-Familien-Stiftung make this sustainable development possible.

We would like to thank all the supporters who believed in and supported the development of the cooperative. Especially Fair Styria and Schoeck-Familien-Stiftung have financed trainings of the cooperative again and again.
