    …of mixed vegetable cultivation and insect management is passed down from one cohort of girls to the next. The girls are certainly proud of their results this spring as well.

    …our scholarship holder Renuka is now stepping forward to talk about her experience at the hostel and on the course run by the Social Work Institute.

    We are proud of her self-confidence and wish her all the best for the future.

    Shaping the future creatively ..

    .. was the theme of the workshop in which Peter Hofer is training a total of nine trainers from four organisations. The entire training programme lasts one year and has a strong practical focus. In future, this will enable many young people to be supported in finding their way after leaving compulsory education.

    Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for its fantastic support for this joint initiative.

    .. After five days, the young people and future trainers were highly motivated
    .. Worksheets were used to encourage individual reflection
    .. the young people particularly enjoyed the physical exercises
    .. these experiences are intended to help the young people find their own way
    .. after working with the young people, we worked with the future coaches
    .. understanding the rationale behind the exercises is important for the future coaches so that they can work in this way themselves later on

    Important for the winter…

    …were the warm jackets, which were able to be handed out as early as autumn. Life without heating can get quite chilly in Nepal during the winter, so the jackets come in very handy ?.

    Every new group ..

    .. of girls at the hostel completes the computer course so that they can use computers in Years 11 and 12.

    The girls are proud, and these skills will certainly help them in life.

    With confidence…

    …the girls at the OVN Children’s Home are fighting to continue their education after compulsory schooling. In the autumn, the possibilities and requirements were discussed; this year, a pilot project will be launched. Workshops with the girls will aim to highlight options that match their interests and abilities.

    Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation; their trust and financial support are making it possible to explore new avenues.

    … agriculture can only be sustainable, if it uses its own seeds. We are delighted that the women are actively processing their own organic seeds and exchanging them amongst themselves.

    Special varieties are also preserved on the model farms.

    Standing up for themselves…

    ..is something the girls at OVN learn from a very early age. They also carry themselves with confidence in public and stand up for their rights.

    We are proud of them and hope to actively shape their future in 2026 with the new workshops.
