“For five years now…
…Kerstin has been joining us every Saturday via Zoom – and English lessons have turned into something much bigger. She encouraged us, believed in us and helped us grow step by step. Her visit to Nepal was a gift for us. After so many years online, the first hug felt like old friends reuniting. Despite the monsoon rains, we enjoyed every minute in Kathmandu – laughing, talking, connecting. Saying goodbye was painful, but during our first Zoom meeting afterwards, we knew: now we really know each other. And we had to laugh when we finally saw how different our heights are. We RFL scholarship holders would like to thank Kerstin,…

In the second year …
… our scholarship holder is already working on very specific tasks. On the computer, in the laboratory, in the workshop but also in the field, she is learning everything she needs to become a good civil engineer in the future. She is of course particularly pleased about the prize for her project. Many thanks to SI Vienna Vivata for supporting her along the way.

Settled in well …
… our scholarship holder Binu from Changsar has settled in well at the technical university. She is the first girl from our 4 villages in Solukhumbu to make it this far. Her dream is to improve the infrastructure of her country as a civil engineer. We wish her continued success and thank the Club SI Wien Vivata for their great support.
