Basic information …
… on organic vegetable growing is taught to the girls at the hostel by our expert. A cultivation and work plan hangs in the kitchen, so the girls always know what they have to do in the garden. We would like to thank the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the hostel.

End of school …
… is a reason for everyone to celebrate. The girls at the hostel have also completed their exams for year 11 and 12. The results for year 11 are already in and all the girls have passed. Our warmest congratulations. Many thanks also to the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the girls.

Passing on knowledge …
… is a major concern for the women who carried out intensive training on the management of cooperatives in Kathmandu. Some specialised topics were passed on to a larger group in a training course in Chyangsar. Representatives of the authorities were also invited and were very interested. Some of them also took part and will make use of our ‘experts’ if necessary. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the women in the villages.

Only your own …
.. Vegetables were eaten by the girls at the hostel last year. They are getting better and better at cultivating their own garden and also enjoy processing their own vegetables. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation, whose support makes it possible for the girls to run the hostel and attend school.

Irrigation …
… is very important for higher production, which can then be sold, especially in the dry periods. Many particularly hard-working women in the four villages have received one, have been trained and can now get started. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for their support.

For the independence …
… of the cooperative, the members of the boards received further intensive training in accounting and management. All four villages sent their managers to Kathmandu. Based on their own documents, they were able to work on how to prepare the books, especially for the audit. For the women, this is very unfamiliar work, which they have already been practising over the past few years with support. By the end of the year, they should be able to do this all by themselves. Microorganisms …
… are also used in permaculture to improve the results. Some selected farmers have been trained in this and will use it for the first time on their fields and also on the model farm. Using mushrooms, ash, cow dung and other ingredients, a so-called ‘super compost’ is produced. We are already very excited about the results. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for their fantastic support of the farms.

A new year …
… has begun on the model farm in Ghunsa. In addition to the already well-rehearsed work on the model farm, the irrigation hoses for the ‘excellent’ farmers were also distributed. Many thanks to @Schöck Family Foundation for the great support of the farms.

The future …
… of the cooperative is already being taken over independently by the leadership team from all 4 villages. For the third time, the team accompanied the strategy days together with Carola Gosch. Achievements are proudly presented, experiences are exchanged and possibilities for the future are discussed. We are very proud of the good co-operation between the women and are sure that the cooperative will continue to work well in the future.
