Once a year ..
.. sitting down together at one table is fun and also very productive. We reflect on the past months together and prepare the next steps. Even though we see each other online every week, there is still a lot to discuss. Many thanks to our wonderful team, which has been steadily supporting the project for years. The women in Ghunsa..

…and water management are essential components of sustainable agriculture in Chyangsar. Our experts have shown the women some ways to combat pests naturally. Light traps, yellow boards, and red flags help with this. Water from the kitchen is collected through filters in a small pond and used for watering. … is the everyday life of the girls. In addition to school, where they achieve good results, they bake, celebrate and do handicrafts. As a balance, there is also exercise and meditation in nature. Basic information …
… on organic vegetable growing is taught to the girls at the hostel by our expert. A cultivation and work plan hangs in the kitchen, so the girls always know what they have to do in the garden. We would like to thank the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the hostel.

End of school …
… is a reason for everyone to celebrate. The girls at the hostel have also completed their exams for year 11 and 12. The results for year 11 are already in and all the girls have passed. Our warmest congratulations. Many thanks also to the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the girls.

Passing on knowledge …
… is a major concern for the women who carried out intensive training on the management of cooperatives in Kathmandu. Some specialised topics were passed on to a larger group in a training course in Chyangsar. Representatives of the authorities were also invited and were very interested. Some of them also took part and will make use of our ‘experts’ if necessary. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the women in the villages.

.. Vegetables were eaten by the girls at the hostel last year. They are getting better and better at cultivating their own garden and also enjoy processing their own vegetables.
