• Our scholarship holder Asha ..

.. from Merangding is studying computer science, which gives her many job opportunities in Nepal. Adjusting to life in the city was not easy for her, but she now feels very comfortable at university and in her room. We wish her all the best and are particularly pleased to have found a sponsor for her. Many thanks to solicon IT for the great support.

  • In the second year …

… our scholarship holder is already working on very specific tasks. On the computer, in the laboratory, in the workshop but also in the field, she is learning everything she needs to become a good civil engineer in the future. She is of course particularly pleased about the prize for her project. Many thanks to SI Vienna Vivata for supporting her along the way.

  • Food …

… and cooking together are an essential part of all celebrations. It starts the day before, everyone brings something, we cut, cook, laugh and gossip together. This exchange is important in order to master difficult situations together. Many thanks to Fair Styria for supporting this project.

  • News from the hostel …

… could be exchanged during the visit on site. In the meantime, all of the girls’ beds are already producing good yields, radiators have been purchased for the winter and experiences and challenges have been openly discussed. The official sign has also been installed. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for giving the girls this opportunity.

  • Material for the farmers …

… for the best of the village. The women were duly honoured at the meeting of the cooperative. They shared their experiences with the others. We are sure that the women will continue to work well in the future, even without external support. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for its long-term support of this project.

  • A warm welcome …

… in Merangding. The women not only distributed the traditional flower wreaths, they also cooked in advance and prepared everything perfectly. We really enjoyed exchanging ideas in this pleasant atmosphere. It’s great to see how the women stick together and put what they have learnt into practice. This fantastic work is only possible thanks to the support of the Schöck Family Foundation, for which we are very grateful.

  • Hair bands..

… were exchanged in Kathmandu for warm jackets with the Oportunity Village (OVN). Synergies and added value are important to us, so the girls in Pokhara were able to earn money by sewing the hair bands, which are now being distributed to the women in the villages. 30 warm jackets were handed over for the girls in Pokhara. We are delighted about the synergy between the projects and would like to thank the sponsors for their many years of support.
