• Intensive …

.. the girls in Pokhara are looked after. Both in the children’s home and in the mentoring programme, the girls receive health care, are supported in their school attendance and the older ones receive vocational training to earn an income for themselves. Many thanks to the sponsors who make this support possible.

  • For the independence …

… of the cooperative, the members of the boards received further intensive training in accounting and management. All four villages sent their managers to Kathmandu. Based on their own documents, they were able to work on how to prepare the books, especially for the audit. For the women, this is very unfamiliar work, which they have already been practising over the past few years with support. By the end of the year, they should be able to do this all by themselves. We wish them the best of luck. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for supporting the sustainable empowerment of women.

  • Particularly important …

We are therefore particularly pleased that Asmita from Merangding has decided to study this at a college in Kathmandu. She would like to work in an NGO later on to improve the situation of people in Nepal. She is very concerned about the financial burden on her parents, who also have to make their contribution in addition to the great sponsors. Many thanks to the sponsors who make this study programme possible and also to the parents who – as with all scholarship holders – make their financial and emotional contribution.

Using mushrooms, ash, cow dung and other ingredients, a so-called ‘super compost’ is produced. We are already very excited about the results. Many thanks to the Schöck Family Foundation for their fantastic support of the farms.
