A different kind of training …
… was completed this year by some women from the agricultural co-operative in Kathmandu. Bookkeeping, co-operative management and financial statements. Unfamiliar and difficult topics for the women. After the training, they were accompanied monthly in the village throughout the year. This enabled them to prepare the audit of the cooperative independently for the first time in 2023. We would like to congratulate and thank Fair Styria for their support.

Merry Christmas …
… to the women and girls of our projects in Nepal and to all our supporters. Together we have achieved a great deal in recent years and the women can be proud of their development. We are heading into the next year with great confidence and are convinced that the women will soon be able to overcome their challenges without us. A wonderful 2024 to us all.🎄

On site …
… the developments on the model farm could be admired and the next steps discussed. The women reported on what they had learnt and where they faced challenges. However, they are increasingly able to take care of these themselves and find good solutions. Many thanks to the Schoeck Family Foundation for the financial support in the villages.

Again and again …
… Christoph Galik plays in various constellations for the Roots for Life projects. We are very grateful to him for his support over the years. In Kathmandu…
… some girls from the villages are completing their secondary education with the support of our sponsors. Afterwards, they even have the opportunity to attend university or complete other vocational training. First, however, there is a meeting with pizza and chatting as well as a small shopping trip for everyone. Many thanks to all our sponsors, without you none of this would be possible.

The PGS…
… or Farmers Field School certification is taken very seriously. The women’s knowledge is lovingly prepared and tested in all villages after the annual training programme. Insects have to be identified, their benefits or harm and how to deal with them known. Fortunately, everyone passed and will receive their certificate 🙂 – congratulations. Many thanks to @schöck for their support in making these programmes possible.
