Kunikhop – Farming
The construction of the model farm can begin here in 2021. A training hall, greenhouses and training fields are to be built on the cooperative’s land. The selection of women for the PGS certification program is also planned.

Kunikhop – Scholarships
With the establishment of the cooperative in Kunikhop came the desire of the women to support their girls in attending school. Education as a prerequisite for a self-determined life for their daughters is a real need for the women in Kunikhop. The program for the girls in Kunikhop will start in 2021.

Meranding – Farming
In 2021, the construction of a model farm will also begin here. According to the experiences from the other villages, a small piece of central land will first be purchased from the cooperative to plant vegetable plots, to set up a greenhouse and, if possible, to build a small training hall with toilets.

Empowerment Nepal ..
.. means for us to rely on national initiatives. A project is being started in Ghunsa together with the National Innovation Center. With a predominantly solar-powered drying house, local vegetables are to be dried and processed into traditional products. The contracts have been signed, unfortunately the lockdowns and then the rainy season made the work more difficult. Now the locally mined stones are on their way to Ghunsa to build a floor slab. Here we go ..
.. for the girls from Chyangsar and Ghunsa who want to go to college after successfully completing their compulsory education. Kusang Tamang has looked for a suitable room for them on site and has furnished it so far. They will cook, study and sleep there. We wish them all the best. We are still looking for sponsors to finance this 2-year training and would appreciate their support.

Apples and vegetables ..
.. are also available at the model farm in Chyangsar. The amount of apples is still not that big, but the children are very happy about every single one. The beautiful vegetables also contribute to a more varied diet in the families and we are very happy about that. Many thanks to @fair styria, who support this project significantly.

Going to college for the first time ..
.. that was a big dream for 11 girls from Chyangsar and Ghunsa. Even though not all the funds for the 2 years are available we decided to support this. The girls applied with very personal letters. It was also important to us that they can give something back. Be it supporting smaller girls in their basic education or working on the model farms. Our goal is to build a sustainable program here. With the college, the girls will not only be able to play a better role locally in the village, but jobs in administration and education will also be open to them. Anyone who would like to support…
